Encode a short string into a repeatable Base64 value for tests that expect encoded text.
Decode a value you know contains UTF-8 text to see its readable representation. Do not treat Base64 as a security boundary.
This tool handles standard Base64 containing UTF-8 text. It is not a binary file, image, JWT, or Base64URL decoder. Invalid Base64 or invalid UTF-8 bytes produce an error. Base64 is encoding, not encryption.
Yes. Text is converted to UTF-8 bytes before Base64 encoding, so Unicode text such as Hello 世界 is supported.
No. Anyone with the value can decode it. Encoding provides no confidentiality and does not replace encryption.
The input may not be standard Base64, or the decoded bytes may not be valid UTF-8. Binary files and Base64URL strings are outside this tool’s supported input format.
Make tangled JSON readable. Format, validate, and copy.
Words, characters, and reading time. All accounted for.
